SW Community Forum: DACA 101

Date: Monday, September 18, 2017
Time: 11:15 am  to  12:30 pm
Location: Palisades Room, Casey Hall

The Social Work Program are hosting our first community forum around the recent announcement regarding policy changes to the DACA program. In conjunction with student groups (ie. Social Work Club, BSU, Caribbean Dance Club, Latinos Unidos, SGA) and relevant campus administrative offices, this community education forum’s aim is to generally inform the public on what DACA is, what recipient’s rights are, and provide resources promoting support services/programs in our area. Given our college’s designation as an Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), coupled with what we know regarding the percentage of DACA recipients who identify with various groups represented on our campus, we thought this was of particular importance.

Please email Maureen Aitchison (maureen.aitchison@dc.edu) if you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
