Director of Human Resources

Dominican College invites qualified applicants for the Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the Vice President of Fiscal Affairs, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for the oversight and delivery of a comprehensive Human Resources program for the College. This position provides leadership and direction with regards to Staffing, Compensation and Benefits including management of the College’s retirement plan, Leave Management, Compliance, Employee Policies and Practices, Position Descriptions, Employee Relations and Performance Management. Is also responsible for review of Affiliation Agreements of our Allied Health Programs. Supervises the HR Generalist and Receptionists.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Substantial knowledge of HR processes and procedures, EEO laws and regulations, must be comfortable investigating complex employee relations issues, ERISA; HRIS; demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all constituencies of the College; the ability to make and implement difficult decisions; effective and consistent judgment. 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust and confidentiality. Excellent organization, computer and communication skills; Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
