Hi, everyone! My name is Hannah Ameen and I am a Freshman Admissions Counselor here at Dominican College, as well as proud Alumni! I majored in Communication Studies and minored in Professional Selling. I was highly involved on campus as a student, and am excited to be back working for Dominican College!

Hometown: Sparta, NJ

Favorite College Memory: Through the service opportunities at Dominican College, I was able to travel all around the United States with Alternative Spring Break. I was also able to travel overseas to work at a poverty-stricken camp in La Union, El Salvador. I still keep in touch with the families I met on my trips!

My Advice: Don’t be afraid to ask questions! We are all here to help make sure you are well informed.

What’s up! I am Monique Lalanne and admissions counselor with Dominican College as well as a proud Alumni! I am a true city girl at heart reigning from Brooklyn, NY; However Rockland Country has a special place in my heart. While at Dominican I was involved in every aspect of student life, such as Peer Mentors, Campus Ministry, DC Dance team, Alternative Spring Break and Student Ambassadors to name a few.

Hometown:  Brooklyn, NY

Favorite College Memory: Here at Dominican College I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and grow into the woman I am today by taking part in different leadership opportunities on campus and abroad in Fanjeaux, France.

Advice: As a counselor, it’s my job to make sure that prospective students and their families feel comfortable and educated while making their decision about Dominican College. Please feel free to reach out with any questions that you may have about the application process, the campus, or college in general! A word of advice for future college freshman, make sure you visit the college campus before making any decisions!

Hobby: When I’m not in the office I’m in the dojo practicing Jujitsu.

Hello!  My name is Emma Fortunato, and I one of the Freshman Admissions Counselors.  I am a proud DC grad with a degree in Psychology!  I am so happy to be continuing my journey with Dominican College as a counselor!

Hometown:  Demarest, NJ

Favorite College Memory:  I will never forget my first Alternative Spring Break trip at the Jersey Shore!  Being able to help those who were affected by Sandy with my classmates will always hold a special place in my heart.

Advice for Prospective Students:  Take the time to visit college campuses you are interested in.  It’s the best way to find out if that school is a good fit for you!

Hobby:  I love to read a good book!

Hi everyone! My name is Melani Salibian, and I am one of the Freshman Admissions Counselors! I received my Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Arizona State University and I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from of the State University of New York College at Cortland. I have a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising along with a minor in Sociology and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. I love the Dominican College community and I am so excited to be able to work with perspective students to assist throughout the college application process! Favorite College Memory: I loved stepping out of my comfort zone to join various clubs and organizations. While I was nervous at first, it became one of the best decisions I have ever made. By doing so, I have met my lifelong best friends and created lasting relationships!

Advice: As a student, I encourage you to make the most of your time in college. College goes by very quickly, so take advantage of all the activities available to you and join clubs and organizations! Step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

Hobby: I love to travel and experience new cultures!
