Jane Murphy, a wildlife/nature photographer, will have her works displayed in the Sullivan Library of Dominican College from April 8 through April 26 from 12 p.m. till 7 p.m. daily. There will be an opening reception Sunday, April 7 from 1:00-3:00.
Jane has displayed her work for the last two years at the West Nyack Library. She has also displayed in New Jersey at the Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland, New Jersey. Next fall Jane will be displaying her work at the Finklestein Library in Spring Valley, New York. Her work has also been seen on the Defenders of Wildlife website.
She credits her inspiration to her father, her aunt, and to wildlife photographer, Ron Magill, because he has the same outlook on picture taking as she does. Both believe in not altering their pictures in any way, which means photoshop is never used.
Jane’s mission is to inspire people to love and respect Wildlife as much as she does. She says “Every animal has a personality. Every animal has a soul. Every animal should be treasured. Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened”.
The name of the photography collection is called “For the love of animals….photographs taken with love”
The show is dedicated to her aunt, Diane Strong.
