Programs of Study
Whatever age and whichever subject you wish to teach, Dominican College’s programs will provide you with the expertise you need to understand your subject matter thoroughly, and determine exactly how to cater your methods to match the uniqueness of each of your students. Our programs prepare you for your teaching career through personalized instruction, supervised student teaching, and field-based courses that include classroom observation and participation.
Dominican College offers a wide variety of specializations in early childhood and adolescence education, qualifying you to obtain New York State Certification, a certification accepted in most other states. In addition to the regular Childhood and Adolescence Certifications, our program offerings include options for extended certification for early childhood, middle school, and students with disabilities, so that wherever your teaching ambitions lie, your course of study will allow full exploration and realization of your interests.
