:: Job Search

The Career Development Center assists students in identifying their skills, interests, values, strengths, and career preferences, and in developing a realistic career and job search plan. To view a list of jobs, please visit our job boards which are located at Casey Hall and the St. Catherine’s annex. Part time jobs and internships are posted on the Dominican College portal under Student Life.   For additional information on the job listings, please visit the Career Development Center. :: Internships

Internship opportunities give students hands-on work experience in business, industry, non-profit organizations and government. These experiences complement and expand the student's total learning experience by affording the chance to test theories learned in the classroom with actual practice in the workplace.  Internship opportunities included companies such as MTV, Official Offices of Rockland County, various Police Departments, St. Dominic’s Home, Oxygen Network and Daytop Village, Emmis Communications, Nathan Kline Institute, Verizon Wireless, and the United Nations.

Some internships are for credit only, while others may offer a stipend for expenses and at times, some may be paid. Employers establish the salary rate.

Internships are available for all academic disciplines at Dominican College.  A minimum G.P.A. of 2.3 is required in the chosen academic discipline. Candidates must be Juniors or Seniors.

To obtain an internship enrollment packet, which must be signed and approved by your Academic Advisor, please visit the Career Development Center.
