SW 454 Social Work Practice I (3)

This is the first of a three-semester sequence. It is required of all junior students and must be taken concurrently with Field Work I. The course provides a systematic generalist approach to social work concepts, including an appreciation of social work values guiding ethical practice, a strengths perspective, an application of best practice, and the promotion of social justice. The focus is primarily on the initial phase of the social work intervention process. Must be taken concurrently with SW 455.

Prerequisites: SW 451, SW 335P, and SW 461..
