CJ 450 Advanced Topics in Criminal Justice (3)
This course will undertake a semester-long study of a single, Instructor-selected topic or closely related set of topics in criminal justice. Topics may vary from year to year. Research and discussions build on knowledge gained from prior study and may focus on such themes as, for example, multidisciplinary alternatives to incarceration, race and class in the criminal justice system, and ethical dimensions of legal processes. The course spans relevant social science, legal, and critical literature. Students will complete a research project on an aspect of the topic being addressed in the course.
