BI 533 Neuroscience (3)

The goal of this course is for the student to develop an advanced understanding of the neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of the normal human brain with a focus on the specific needs of the physical therapy student. Special attention is paid to the interaction between structure and function in the nervous system. An emphasis is placed on sensory and motor systems that may be damaged by disease or injury. Functional deficits and the potential for recovery, for specific neurological disorders, are addressed through student case presentations.
