AM 550 Computer Auditing (3)

The use of computers in performing audits is stressed in this course. Students will be introduced to the importance of auditors addressing internal control issues in EDP systems, as well as using computer assisted techniques in performing audits. The course will include applications dealing with audit sampling techniques, testing of internal control procedures, and use of computers in performing analytic review procedures, as well as in confirming accounts receivable.
