Accelerated Evening Programs
- Established in 1990 specifically for working adults, the Accelerated Evening Program (ACCEL) offers an intensified course of evening study leading either to the Bachelor of Science or Arts in a variety of areas. In the hybrid ACCEL format, each course meets one night a week for seven weeks and an eighth class is completed online. Thus, each course requires 32 rather than the traditional 45 classroom hours. A student may take two courses in each eight-week session and complete a maximum of 36 credits a year. An Upper Division Nursing program is also available to registered nurses in a Weekday/Evening ACCEL option.
ACCEL classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:45 to 9:50 pm. The ACCEL office is open on class nights from 5:00 to 10:00 pm.
A low student-faculty ratio, plus a highly dedicated and motivated faculty, provides a cohesive and supportive environment in which to pursue educational goals.
