OT 431 Overview of Occupational Therapy Practice (3)

This course provides a comprehensive overview of all major facets of occupational therapy, including professionalism, bodies of knowledge, theory development, occupational science, purposeful activities, group dynamics, therapeutic use of self, and research. Emphasis is placed on transition from OTA to OTR roles, developing skills in activity analysis, treatment planning, and clinical reasoning as they apply in the practice of the profession. Students with OTA backgrounds only. A course grade of B is required for acceptance into OT professional courses.
